Tübingen, around 1900. The young Hermann Hesse works as an apprentice at the Heckenhauer bookstore on Holzmarkt—and secretly dreams of becoming a poet. Behind the shelves full of books, something is brewing: a rebel who has rebelled against school and convention finds here, for the first time, the discipline he needs for his literary work.
But Hesse has left you a message. Read his letter—and follow the clues he has hidden in the bookstore. Solve his riddles, decipher his thoughts, and accompany the young poet on his journey to freedom.
